Active Respiratory Therapist license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This travel opportunity is ideal for experienced Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) seeking to work in a high-acuity environment with a diverse patient population, including NICU/PICU, adult critical care, and cardiothoracic cases. Position Details: Multiple openings available with a preferred assignment length of 26 weeks Shifts: 3x12-hour night shifts (7 PM to 7:30 AM) Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 Call requirement: must be available to take call 2 hours before the next shift Float expectations include NICU, PICU, acute care pediatrics, emergency department, and adult critical care Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive respiratory care across various units, including a newly opened third Surgical ICU and expanded Intermediate Medical Care units. Utilize advanced ventilators and respiratory equipment such as Drager V500/VN500, Hamilton T1/C1, Respironics V30/V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, and Vapotherm. Collaborate effectively within a team of 14-16 RRTs to maintain optimal patient care and safety. Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records. Qualifications: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required Minimum of 3 years in tertiary hospital respiratory therapy preferred BLS required; ACLS preferred; NRP certification for NICU experience Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center highly desirable Flexibility to adapt to varied patient populations, including acute, critical and pediatric care Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach Location Highlights: Brunswick, ME, offers a charming coastal community with access to natural beauty, including beaches, parks, and recreational trails.
