Position Information NDCPD Grants AccountantLocation: North Dakota Center for Persons with Disabilities (NDCPD) - Minot State University (MSU) The North Dakota Center for Persons with Disabilities (NDCPD) at Minot State University is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grants Accountant to join our Executive leadership team. This position plays a vital role in coordinating and managing all financial activities within NDCPD, supporting both Center leadership and Principal Investigators / Project Directors across a diverse portfolio of 20-25 grants and contracts. A list of the primary responsibilities is listed below: Provide financial expertise and guidance to ensure compliance with federal, state, and university policies and regulations.Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, accounting reports, and routine financial transactions, including budget reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable, billings, and deposits.Evaluate and interpret expenditure allowability, and assist with processing transactions and budget revisions.Collaborate on the development of pre-award grant budgets and subcontracts.Support Principal Investigators and Project Directors with post-award grant budget management and assist in the submission of financial reports.Train NDCPD faculty and staff on finance-related systems, processes, and best practices.Serve as the primary liaison between NDCPD and the MSU Business Office.Manage payroll records for NDCPD staff, including fund allocations, contract processing, and all related additional pay earnings.Work with the NDCPD Core Executive leadership team to maintain and update internal financial guidelines and reference materials.Perform other duties as assigned to support the financial health and integrity of NDCPD operations.This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative and analytical accounting professional who thrives in a mission-driven, grant-funded environment. Position RequirementsEducation:A bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field is required.A master’s degree or CPA certification and licensure is preferred. Experience:3-5 years of directly related work experience is required.Preference will be given to candidates with experience in grant budgeting and/or a familiarity with the NDUS account platform (PeopleSoft) Technical Skills:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office components (Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, etc.) is required, specifically Excel. Experience with Power BI is preferred. Additional Requirements:Must possess a valid driver’s license or state-approved ID.Must successfully pass a criminal history background check.
