Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Description We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Technician to join our team. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for managing the flow of materials, inventory control, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse. This position will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring that raw materials, components, and finished goods are properly stored, organized, and available for production when needed. Responsibilities + Execute inventory control and material handling processes to improve warehouse accuracy and operational flow. + Perform receiving verification to ensure incoming materials are accurate and properly documented. + Conduct location audits to maintain organized and accurate inventory placement. + Support material movement throughout the warehouse in alignment with operational needs. + Maintain system integrity by ensuring all inventory transactions are accurately recorded in warehouse systems. + Receive, store, and organize raw materials, components, and finished products in the warehouse. + Prepare and stage materials and products for production or shipment, ensuring accurate order picking and packaging. + Unload and inspect incoming shipments, verifying that items match purchase orders and are free from damage. + Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking materials to maintain optimal levels. + Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. + Accurately input inventory data into warehouse management systems and keep records of transactions. + Ensure all materials and products are inspected for quality and compliance. + Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. + Work closely with production teams, inventory control, and purchasing to ensure material availability. + Identify and suggest improvements to warehouse operations. Essential Skills + Inventory control experience + Forklift certification and 5 years of forklift experience + 5 years of systemic inventory experience + 3-5 years of warehouse/material handler experience in a manufacturing environment + Computer literacy + Proficiency in logistics, shipping & receiving, data entry, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in preparing and staging materials for production or shipment + Ability to safely operate material handling equipment + Proficiency in accurately inputting inventory data into warehouse management systems + Capability to monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a warehouse environment with hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Overtime opportunities are available in a structured setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
