Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Bronx, New York. This role offers the opportunity to lead financial operations, reporting directly to the organizationu2019s owners while collaborating with an external accounting firm. The position is fully on-site, making it ideal for candidates based locally who seek a dynamic and hands-on role. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee and manage all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, and reporting functions. u2022 Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial records while maintaining compliance with established accounting standards. u2022 Design and implement robust internal controls to protect company assets and improve operational efficiency. u2022 Supervise daily accounting activities, such as payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. u2022 Conduct financial performance analyses and provide actionable insights to guide strategic decisions. u2022 Collaborate with various departments to enhance workflows and streamline financial processes. u2022 Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. u2022 Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and industry practices to ensure compliance and maintain a competitive edge. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate financial management, with at least 5 years in a Controller role. u2022 Expertise in month-end close processes, financial reporting, and internal control systems. u2022 Proven ability to prepare accurate and timely financial statements and budgets. u2022 Strong knowledge of forecasting and budgeting methodologies. u2022 Familiarity with the produce industry is a plus, though not required. u2022 Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. u2022 Proficiency in financial software and tools relevant to accounting and reporting.
