Description Our client is currently looking for a Desktop Support Specialist that will provide reliable, high-quality desktop support services for their 100+ field offices nationwide. The ideal candidate for this position is a reliable, adaptable, thought-leading IT Desktop support professional capable of maintaining high work standards while independently managing their work. The candidate will also cultivate excellent customer service relationships with a focus on collaboration and direct communication with end users, Executives, and peers. This position also will work as needed with several other initiatives, including assisting with projects, interacting with diverse technologies, and partnering with stakeholders in other departments. Responsibilities u2022 Troubleshoot issues with PCs, monitors, printers, and other related IT equipment u2022 Coordinate with smart hands vendor to provide on site support and hardware repair at remote locations. o Providing direction to onsite tech by outlining the problem and what is expected of the tech while onsite o Collecting and analyzing photos and data provided by the tech o Driving the solution and ensuring that the issue is completely resolved u2022 Image, prep, ship and track laptops and desktops and accessories u2022 Maintain asset inventory of devices throughout their lifecycle u2022 Maintain incident & task tickets in ServiceNow adhering to defined SLAs u2022 Provide exceptional service to all users both in person and remote u2022 Create and update knowledge base articles and documentation used by the team and technical service desk u2022 Partner with various teams within IT and other departments to solve cross functional issues u2022 Provide training and assistance to users as needed Skills: u2022 Experience as a desktop support technician or equivalent u2022 Troubleshooting workstation/user accounts with o Active Directory/Entra ID, Azure MFA, Intune, SCCM u2022 Experience performing software installation, diagnostic and upgrades u2022 Hardware troubleshooting skillset across laptops desktops tablets printers and more u2022 Excellent vertical and lateral thinking u2022 Time management skills u2022 Clear written and verbal communication u2022 Customer first mindset u2022 AV knowledge and troubleshooting skills u2022 Experience with incident management/ticketing system u2022 Ability and willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new technology and processes Additional Skills & Qualifications IT certifications or equivalent of education preferred Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Syracuse, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
