Help Desk Support TechnicianPosition Overview The Help Desk Support Technician provides frontu2011line technical support and outstanding customer service to end users. This role is responsible for responding to inquiries, diagnosing issues, and delivering accurate, timely solutions related to computer systems, hardware, and software. Support is provided primarily through phone and messaging channels in a highu2011volume environment. The technician will document all interactions, follow established procedures, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a positive support experience. Key Responsibilities + Deliver exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with end users. + Respond to incoming support requests, diagnose issues, and provide clear, effective solutions. + Meet or exceed performance goals related to call handling, availability, and quality. + Maintain upu2011tou2011date knowledge of organizational processes, services, and support procedures. + Document all interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the appropriate systems. + Follow up with users to confirm issue resolution and ensure satisfaction. + Identify opportunities to improve helpdesk processes and contribute to team initiatives. + Collaborate with internal support groups to ensure seamless issue resolution. + Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Skills & Experience + Minimum of one year of IT support or service desk experience (professional, academic, or internship). + Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to assist users of varying technical levels. + Ability to troubleshoot issues using available resources and reference materials. + Ability to remain professional and composed when assisting frustrated users. + Comfortable working with headsets and sitting for extended periods. + Familiarity with general office applications and internet navigation. Preferred Skills + Experience in customeru2011facing or highu2011volume support environments. + Ability to resolve complex issues quickly and accurately. + Strong documentation and organizational skills. + Customeru2011focused mindset with the ability to deu2011escalate challenging interactions. + Relevant certifications are a plus but not required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
