Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Hackensack, New Jersey. In this Contract to permanent position, you will support accounts payable operations while also assisting with basic IT and administrative tasks. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and eager to expand their expertise in both finance and technology. Responsibilities: u2022 Process accounts payable transactions, including coding invoices and ensuring accurate account allocations. u2022 Manage payment methods such as Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfers and check runs. u2022 Provide administrative support for IT-related tasks, such as shipping and receiving electronic equipment for employees. u2022 Assist with updating company records and maintaining accurate documentation. u2022 Support the in-house IT team with basic technical tasks, such as program installations and creating instructional guides. u2022 Handle administrative duties related to onboarding and offboarding employees, including IT equipment setup and retrieval. u2022 Collaborate with the IT department to troubleshoot minor technical issues and improve processes. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all accounts payable activities. Requirements u2022 At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related role. u2022 Proficiency in processing accounts payable transactions, including invoice coding and account reconciliation. u2022 Familiarity with payment methods such as ACH transfers and check processing. u2022 Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn basic IT tasks. u2022 Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. u2022 Excellent communication skills for collaborating across departments. u2022 Basic proficiency in creating and maintaining spreadsheets. u2022 Ability to adapt and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
