These positions pay $22 u2013$34 per hour and are temp u2011to u2011hire , with openings available on 1st and 2nd shift in Westbrook . These are hands u2011on , highly technical machining roles - not machine operator positions -ideal for professionals who take pride in tight tolerances , blueprint accuracy , and producing high u2011quality components using CNC large lathes , traditional CNC machines , and manual equipment in a jobu2011shop or lowu2011tou2011medium volume environment. Typical daily duties: + Set up, program (at the machine or offline), and operate CNC lathes, mills, and/or manual machines to produce precision components + Machine complex parts to close tolerances using blueprints, GD&T, routers, and work instructions + Perform firstu2011piece, inu2011process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators) + Edit and optimize Gu2011code, adjust offsets, tooling, and feeds/speeds to maintain quality and efficiency + Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering and quality teams as needed + Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety and quality standards What weu2019re looking for: + 3u20135+ years of handsu2011on machining experience (CNC and/or Manual) in a manufacturing environment + Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings + Experience with CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or similar) and/or largeu2011diameter lathes preferred + Solid understanding of cutting tools, materials, fixturing, and machining processes + High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or apprenticeship strongly preferred + Selfu2011starter mindset with strong attention to detail, quality, and continuous improvement To be considered for these Machinist jobs (CNC & Manual) in Westbrook , please contact us using any of the methods below.
