All travel reimbursed plus full benefits including health insurance, vacation, sick leave and every federal holiday off. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to Parsons as the prime contractor. This $1.8 billion+ contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAAu2019s Capital Investment Plan (CIP) modernization efforts: Site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, CAD, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAAu2019s nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 400-500 with a peak staff of over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work. Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team In this role, you will get to travel to various sites to perform demolition work What You'll Be Doing: u00b7 Perform local coordination of on-site work, working in a 2-man self-perform crew. u00b7 Perform as the main point of contact (POC) for all site work, coordinating with internal management and the client before the job starts, being the on-site POC. u00b7 Coordinating final inspection and completion of close-out paperwork. u00b7 Perform cradle-to-grave operations for projects of relatively limited scope. Specifically focused on demolition activities. u00b7 Must be proficient in operating large excavators, backhoes, and skid steers. u00b7 Communicate with personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate the work. u00b7 Project locations are at various geographic locations throughout USA and will require 100% travel. u00b7 Maintain, operate and coordinate the use of heavy machinery as required to complete the demolition/restoration work at various sites. u00b7 Collaborate with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees. Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards. What Required Skills You'll Bring: u00b7 Candidate must demonstrate skills to maintain, operate and coordinate the use of heavy machinery (Excavator/Backhoe/Skid Steer) u00b7 The ideal candidate will have 3 plus years of experience operating heavy equipment u00b7 Ability to prepare and manage electronic expense reports. u00b7 Requires excellent communication skills and possess a familiarity with PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction. u00b7 Must be able to obtain an active credit card. u00b7 It is preferred the candidate have approximately 3 plus years of related experience operating large construction equipment (Skid Steer and Excavator are a plus) u00b7 Possess a strong Safety/Quality background. u00b7 Must have the ability to interface with clients and enjoy being hands-on technically in the project. u00b7 Must have strong communication skills. u00b7 Must be able to travel 100% u00b7 Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by Federal Authorities will be performed. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: u00b7 Ability to communicate effectively. u00b7 Prepare daily notes of job activities. u00b7 Complete expense reports on a timely basis via Parsonsu2019 electronic expense reporting system. u00b7 Complete time card on a daily basis via Parsonsu2019 electronic time card system. u00b7 Collaborate with office staff to address project requirements. u00b7 Act as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors while on project site. u00b7 Follow the requirements outlined in the Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required. u00b7 Monitor and report to service area lead regarding the progress of construction/demolition activities, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule. u00b7 Attend weekly meeting to review project status and discuss issues or concerns. u00b7 CPR/First Aid/AED preferred. u00b7 OSHA certification preferred. u00b7 100% travel and ability to obtain or have a credit card that can be used to support reimbursable travel. u00b7 Must have a valid driver's license and have the ability to operate a company pickup.
