Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in New York, New York. In this role, you will oversee complex accounting tasks and play a key part in financial reporting, consolidations, and variance analysis for international operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with senior leadership while contributing to critical accounting processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. u2022 Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. u2022 Oversee financial consolidations and ensure compliance with US GAAP standards. u2022 Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership. u2022 Collaborate with international teams to align accounting practices and reporting. u2022 Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of cash balances. u2022 Prepare detailed workpapers to support audit and compliance requirements. u2022 Analyze financial data to improve operational efficiency and decision-making. u2022 Partner with senior leadership to address complex accounting issues and provide strategic recommendations. u2022 Contribute to the development and enhancement of accounting policies and procedures. Requirements u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Proven experience in month-end close, general ledger management, and financial reporting. u2022 Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with international accounting practices. u2022 Proficiency in preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. u2022 Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or similar setting is highly desirable. u2022 Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. u2022 Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
