As a Hadoop Admin - CLT or Chicago, you will be an integral part of the Data Platforms Support team, contributing to innovative projects that leverage cutting-edge Big Data Technologies. Job Title: Hadoop Admin - CLT or Chicago Location: Chicago , IL / Charlotte, NC What's the Job? + Manage and support Hadoop and Data Science platform operations across multiple environments. + Coordinate with clients, vendors, and development teams to deliver technical solutions that meet user needs. + Perform platform upgrades, bug fixes, deployments, and monitor system metrics for optimal performance. + Implement disaster recovery plans and manage incident, problem, and capacity management processes. + Maintain and optimize cluster configurations, troubleshoot issues, and analyze Hadoop log files for resolution. What's Needed? + Extensive experience with Hadoop architecture, HDFS, and cluster management. + Proficiency in Hadoop components such as HBase, Kafka, Spark, Impala, Hive, and YARN. + Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, scripting languages, and database management. + Hands-on experience with automation and DevOps tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and SVN. + Certifications in Cloudera Hadoop, Cloud, Docker, or OpenShift are highly desirable.
