This is a full-time, non-exempt position and starting wage is$27.10 - $32.90 per hour, DOQ.ACHD offers an excellent benefit package with medical, vision and dentalinsurance, paid parental leave, paid vacation and holidays, 401K matchand membership in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho(PERSI).Primary Responsibilities:Under general supervision, the Leadworker will perform skilled work asit relates to tree trimming, shoulder mowing, and weed removalactivities.Will coordinate and/or operate winter maintenance equipment for plowing,sanding, and deicing the roads.The Leadworker assists with the direction of work for the crew and mayact as Crew Chief in their absence. The Leadworker is required to bepart of an on call rotation year-round.Qualifications:Must have a current Idaho Class A CDL license. If CDL license is fromanother state, must be able to obtain an Idaho CDL by start ofemployment and must obtain a tanker endorsement within 30 days ofemployment.The successful candidate must have previous supervisory experience andthe ability to operate all equipment associated with the performance ofassigned tasks. Experience with customer service is a must.Must have considerable knowledge of inherent hazards and safetyprecautions necessary for maintenance and construction work andequipment.Must have an ISA Arborist Certification or the ability to obtain thecertification within 18 months is required.Must have an Idaho Professional Applicator's License with aRight-of-Way endorsement or the ability to obtain the license andendorsement within 6 months is required.The incumbent must respond to 24-hour emergency call-out as needed.Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting through theAda County Sheriffs Office.Any combination of education, training or experience which provides therequired knowledge, skills and abilities, is acceptable.A completed ACHD Employment Application is required and must besubmitted to Human Resources by 4:30pm on April 22, 2026.
