This position is a skill level II requires at least one year of agricultural equipment mechanic and repair experience and the ability to be punctual to the worksite on a daily basis during the growing season. The Senior Farm Equipment Mechanic is responsible for leading the diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of a wide range of complex agricultural machinery and fleet assets, including tractors, harvesters, implements, trailers, water systems, and heavy-duty transport equipment. This role supports critical farm operations across both shop and field environments, ensuring maximum equipment uptime during planting and harvest seasons. This position requires advanced technical expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in high-pressure, time-sensitive conditions. The Senior Mechanic serves as a key resource for equipment reliability, guiding shop assistants during the day and contributing to operational efficiency through proactive maintenance strategies. Employee must wear proper clothing and footwear depending on the season. All footwear must be closed-toe due to safety precautions. Workers may not use a cellphone or handheld device while working. 3.The employer or designated employee will provide instructions and general supervision. Employees will be expected to conform to the specific instructions given for each days work. 4.Workers are expected to be on premises and ready to begin work at the beginning of their scheduled shift. If a worker will be absent or late, they must let the Manager or Foreman know as soon as possible, but in all cases, before the scheduled shift begins. The worker may leave a voicemail stating the reason for being absent or late and, if possible, a phone number where they may be reached. 5.Employees will be required to attend an orientation on workplace rules, policies and safety information 6..All work sites covered by this clearance order and all facilities of the employer are drug free workplaces. Conduct field service repairs under varying environmental conditions, ensuring rapid response and minimal disruption to operations. Supervise and mentor junior mechanics, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.
