Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a Manager, Central Sterile Supply to lead a 24/7 Sterile Processing Department (SPD). This role is responsible for the centralized storage, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of medical and surgical supplies and equipment. The Manager ensures compliance with aseptic standards, infection prevention requirements, regulatory guidelines, and hospital policies while overseeing daily operations and staff performance.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily SPD operations, including cleaning, sterilizing, assembling, packaging, and distributing instruments and patient care equipmentLead and supervise CSP staff: scheduling, hiring, training, performance management, and corrective actionDevelop, implement, and monitor departmental policies, procedures, goals, and budgetsEnsure compliance with infection control, quality assurance, and regulatory standardsOversee quality assurance activities and departmental reportingMaintain inventory control, perpetual inventory systems, and adequate supply levelsEvaluate new products, loaner equipment, and vendor services for quality and cost-effectivenessCoordinate preventive maintenance, capital planning, and equipment replacementDeliver and support in‑service education on aseptic technique and instrument careCollaborate with Perioperative Services leadership and hospital committeesMinimum QualificationsAssociate’s degree in healthcare, surgical services, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)8-10 years of Sterile Processing experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership roleCentral Service Certification required (CBSPD or CRCST)Strong knowledge of sterilization standards, tracking systems, and materials managementAbility to use computerized tracking systems (e.g., TDOC)Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to push/pull supply carts and perform routine physical tasksMinistry/Facility Information:Trinity Health Of New England is an integrated health care delivery system that is comprised of world-class providers and facilities dedicated to full spectrum preventative, acute, and post-acute care.
