We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Engineer. The successful applicant will join a team working on exciting projects focusing on low-field MRI development, working with a diverse group of physicists, imaging experts, and radiologists in our multi-disciplinary Center. The candidate will own a range of low-field MRI hardware projects including simulation, manufacture, and integration of B0 shim techniques, radiofrequency coils, and ancillary devices such as preamplifiers. The candidate will have the opportunity to pursue independent interests in accessible MRI and grow their own research team.Job Responsibilities:Research Study Development and Planning.Assist in building software and hardware for research studies.Develop data collection tools and programs to be used for analysis.Works with the team to design and execute experiments.Reporting and Analysis. Research, compile and consolidate data.Conduct preliminary analysis.Create reports to all necessary parties (PI, sponsoring agency, etc.) on any modifications to the engineering design of programs.Formulates, prepares databases and generates preliminary measurement reports.Human Subjects' Research. Ensures research-related computer programs and data collection tools are maintained in accordance with HIPAA and NYULH IRB policies.Maintains confidentiality of electronic subject data.Maintain a neat and orderly work area.Work as a functional member of the research team and Department.Attend staff meetings as requested.Responsible for any other duties as stipulated by an Executive Leadership member of the Department, including but not limited to the Department Chairman or the Department Administrator.Follow all applicable HIPPA compliance and safety guidelines.
