role models / provides superior customer service and service standardsPerforms functions related to managing and operating a pharmacy in a retail environment; assists in managing production efficiency through use of labor schedules; works collaboratively with Top Store Leaders and Regional DirectorAssists with Partner training and Partner readiness / competency; participates in career planning for direct reportsImplements / maintains workflow and quality control methods; applies knowledge of all pharmacy functions; promotes continuous improvementEnsures efficient operation of systems and applications (e.g., RxEVO, RxIMS, PartnerNet, ScriptPro, Kirby Lester, point of sale); maintains automated prescription processing equipment (e.g., Kirby Lester, ScriptPro); responsible for calibration, maintenance, stocking, proper report executionOversees third-party prescription processing, adjudication review, and resolution of third-party issuesPerforms drug utilization reviewsEnsures accurate inventory management and compliance with proper processes (e.g., maintenance of correct counts in RxIMS, Warehouse, DSD, and Central Fill order / invoice processing, processing of RxIMS reports, review of Warehouse and DSD orders, reverse logistics processes, product quality assurance and assembly accuracy, OTC shelf-stocking, and daily return-to-stock)Assists in conducting / is responsible for bi-annual inventory of controlled substances and physical pharmacy inventory; uses RxIMS to manage inventory according to seasonal / budgetary requirementsPerforms 7-point check to approve processed prescriptions; verifies all Technician / PCR work; assists with prescription questionsPerforms other assigned duties• Compliance:Ensures the department complies with all state and federal rules and regulations (TSBP, DPS, FDA, CLIA, DEA, etc.)Provides patient counseling on all new prescription orders as required by Board of Pharmacy rules and regulationsEnsures privacy / confidentiality of Personal Health Information (PHI) as required by HIPAA and federal / state privacy rules and regulations; ensures proper procedures are followed related to prescription delivery to a patientEnsures compliant processing of expired and recalled products; ensures compliance with guidelines related to CSOS proceduresEnsures pharmacy / staff licenses are current and renewed according to H-E-B guidelinesEstablishes / adopts best practices to ensure accurate fulfillment, review and verification, patient profile information, and delivery of prescription orders in compliance with H-E-B SOPsContacts prescribers regarding script questions or problems; verifies / documents prescriber information in compliance with H-E-B Questionable Prescription SOP, and Board of Pharmacy regulationsSupports Rx Manager in efforts to ensure staff reads and complies with communications, tasks, and memos from corporate Pharmacy support groupsEnsures / supports Rx Manager with compliance of ORT, 5-S, Pharmacy Standards Review, and upkeep of pharmacy presentation, organization, sanitation, and maintenance of all pharmacy-related areas; ensures approved marketing materials are displayedParticipates in / supports H-E-B Pharmacy directives and professional services (e.g., MTM and health screenings); serves as certified immunizer; serves as preceptorQualifications & Key Requirements:Work Experience: TSBP Preceptor certification after one year of pharmacy practice - Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Expert knowledge / understanding of systems and applications that support production (e.g., RxEVO, RxIMS, PartnerNet, counting technology such as ScriptPro, Kirby Lester, point of sale), and all pharmacy-related management tasks - Understanding of H-E-B initiatives and operations (e.g., Greet, Ask & Thank, 5-S, CID, Central Fill, Contact Center, Refill Express, compounding, and specialty operations) - Proficiency in MS Office applications - Expert problem-solving, and analytical skills - Strong communication and organization skills; precision-oriented - Leadership skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks in stressful situations - Education: of Science Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree - Licenses/Certifications: TSBP-registered - TSBP recertification at least 60 days prior to expiration date - TSBP-certified immunizer - Successful completion of all training e.g - H-E-B 40-hour pharmacist orientation under supervision of Dedicated Trainer - federally- and state-mandated training - HIPAA - FWA - Company orientation - and appropriate management courses - Physical Demands & Working Conditions:Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environmentTravel to Stores in assigned Region / companywide as requiredMaintain open availability and work rotating shifts to meet business needs (includes weekends)Stand / sit for extended periods (up to 12 hours)Regularly lift up to 20 lbsLast revised: 1/1/2017
