We are builders at heart, working to ensure the built environment has a lasting positive impact. Let’s Redefine Possible Project Name: Osagrove Flats Wind ProjectProject Location: Dana, IL 61321SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a millwright that will be responsible for for dismantling, erecting, assembling, aligning, adjusting, and/or maintaining machinery and equipment according to installation manuals, work instructions, layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings.RESPONSIBILITIESReceive and offload major componentsInstall loose components for nacelle, hub, and tower preparationConnect blades to hubSet base and tower sectionsHandle taglinesAssist with main erection crane assembly and teardownClimb ladders (average 80m)Drill and/or tap holes on turbines, generators, compressors, and pumpsTorque/tension bolted connectionsBuild relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsPerform all other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum one (1) year of related experienceCurrent driver’s licenseAbility to read and interpret safety regulations, assembly/disassembly, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; strong teamwork orientation with a positive attitude and professional customer service skillsDetail-oriented with active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedbackRepetitive hand, arm, leg movements*Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbsPlease note: this position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
