Staff Accountant Direct Hire Opportunity through Adecco Pay Hourly: $29-35 DOE Full-Time, 100% Onsite Recruiting Partner: Adecco Direct Hire About the Opportunity Adecco is partnering with a leading agricultural services company in Californiau2019s Central Valley to hire a Staff Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a direct hire opportunity with a well-established organization that oversees agricultural properties and farm management services throughout the region. Position Overview The Staff Accountant will support the finance team by performing a variety of core accounting functions with accuracy and efficiency. This includes journal entries, account reconciliations, expense allocations, prepaid amortizations, and support for month-end and year-end close processes. Working under the guidance of the Senior Accountant, this role plays an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their accounting skillset in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities + Prepare, analyze, and post general ledger journal entries with accuracy and timeliness + Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare balance sheet roll-forwards + Record expense allocations, prepaid amortizations, and other recurring accounting entries + Prepare accruals and assist with loan interest reconciliations + Support crop-year end, fiscal year-end, and audit preparation activities + Participate in the month-end close process and related reporting deadlines + Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate financial data + Assist with process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives + Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred _(or equivalent relevant experience)_ + Internship or 1u20134 years of accounting/finance experience preferred, but not required + Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP concepts + Experience with journal entries and account reconciliations + Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills + Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills + Eagerness to learn and grow within the accounting function What Weu2019re Looking For The ideal candidate will have 2u20134 years of accounting experience within industry, but the client is also open to recent graduates with strong internship experience or relevant coursework. A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are highly valued. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree in certain cases.
