As a vital member of our rail systems traction power group, youu2019ll have the opportunity to design and develop traction power systems on exciting projects for major rail-transit agencies so we can shape lasting solutions for the future. Weu2019ll ask you to draw from your engineering expertise technical design for project aspects such as traction power substation and distribution design associated with conceptual engineering as well as detailed engineering designs, and preparation of transit/rail contract documents for construction. In addition, youu2019ll be asked to support national projects.Working alongside a team of technical experts and engineers, youu2019ll be responsible for creating drawings and simulations using software tools and resources supporting our clientsu2019 overall project goals. If you want to join a company invested in you, your success and the global community - join us as a Traction Power Systems Project Engineer. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineeringu2022 Professional expertise intraction power designu2022 Ability to obtain an EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) LicenseExperience in AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Bentley- OpenBuildingsu2022 Standard Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)u2022 Experience in electrified railway (3rd rail and Overhead Contact System) substation and power distribution systems design to include:u2022 AC or DC rail transit traction power substations.u2022 Wayside cable plant, Circuit breakers, Switchgear, Transformers, Rectifiers.u2022 SCADA and PLC control systems.u2022 Wayside Energy Storage Systems.High level of organization and communication skills to work with rail systems discipline interfaces.Ideally, Youu2019ll Also Have:u2022SCADA and relay protection is preferredJacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
