Job Title: Shipping and Receiving / Inventory Specialist Job Description This role oversees the inventory department with a strong focus on accuracy, documentation, and timely shipping and receiving. You will work in a warehouse management or ERP system throughout the day, handle small medical device components, and maintain high documentation standards through both computer entry and handwritten records. The position requires attention to detail, comfort working with very small materials, and a commitment to maintaining at least 95% inventory accuracy in a clean, temperature-controlled medical manufacturing environment. Responsibilities + Run and oversee the inventory department with a target of maintaining at least 95% inventory accuracy. + Perform daily shipping and receiving activities, including checking incoming materials, verifying documentation, and preparing outgoing shipments. + Work in a warehouse management or ERP system throughout the day to manage inventory transactions, track stock levels, and update records. + Handle and manage very small medical device components with care and precision. + Perform accurate computer data entry for all inventory movements, shipping, and receiving activities. + Complete required documentation to medical industry standards, including both electronic records and manual handwritten forms. + Conduct inventory control activities such as cycle counts, stock checks, and reconciliation of discrepancies. + Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner as needed. + Collaborate with departments such as engineering, machining, assembly, quality, and warehouse to ensure materials are available when needed. + Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment and adherence to facility dress code. + Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as part of daily inventory and warehouse operations. Essential Skills + At least 2 years of inventory experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar environment. + 2+ years of experience working with an ERP or warehouse management system (WMS). + Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes. + Practical knowledge of inventory control practices, including cycle counting and reconciliation. + Ability to work comfortably with very small materials and components used in medical device manufacturing. + Strong computer skills for data entry and system navigation within ERP or WMS platforms. + Ability to complete accurate handwritten documentation to meet medical industry standards. + Capability to lift and move up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly. + Experience operating a forklift or similar material-handling equipment. + Attention to detail and accuracy in a highly regulated documentation environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience working in a medical device or similarly regulated manufacturing environment. + Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems. + Comfort working in a clean, climate-controlled production facility. + Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as engineering, machining, assembly, and quality. + Interest in future career growth into lead, programming, or engineering roles. Work Environment This is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The facility is a medical device manufacturing environment that is extremely clean and climate controlled. The company has approximately 150 employees and currently runs two shifts, with departments including engineering, machining, maintenance, assembly, quality, polishing, and warehouse. You will work around modern manufacturing and warehouse equipment and spend much of the day using ERP or WMS systems. The dress code requires steel-toe footwear and safety glasses on the production floor, along with plain-colored shirts and jeans or work pants. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kenosha, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
