As a Supervisor Food and Nutrition Services with Rapides Regional Medical Center you can be a part of an organization that is devoted to giving back Job Summary and Qualifications The Food Service Supervisor completes office procedures related to diet orders, supervises production, cafeteria and/or office personnel, orients, trains, instructs and advises personnel in routine work procedures and use and care of equipment. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, education, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the following age groups: neonate/infant, children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. What you will do in this role: + Make independent decisions regarding scheduling of daily food production to ensure timely, quality service of menu items and by effectively using time between workloads. + Serve food to customers and understand and assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed. + Inspects kitchen areas to ensure that all routine daily and special weekly cleaning assignments are completed on time as scheduled. + Supervises employees to ensure that proper storage techniques are practiced in order to ensure proper food safety and infection control procedures are followed. + Practices safety and security as defined by hospital department policies and procedures manual. + Submits work orders for necessary equipment repairs through Meditech or reports to Assistant Director to request a local repair service. + Reports supply needs to Assistant Director in a timely fashion. + Holds meetings with staff + Must be flexible and able to change as needed. + Works as a positive member of the Food Service Team.
