Job Description

The Electro-Mechanical Assembler position includes a need for basic technical knowledge of general workmanship standards, manual dexterity, good eyesight, as well as the ability to perform repetitive tasks while assembling electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and final assemblies under the general supervision of the Manufacturing Manager. Responsibilities Include: u2022 Read, understand & perform tasks per assembly drawings u2022 Be proficient in general workmanship standards u2022 Conform to all quality standards. u2022 Perform a variety of moderately complex electro-mechanical assembly operations requiring some degree of judgment. u2022 Use tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, crimpers, drills, soldering irons, precision measuring instruments, torque wrenches, and other hand tools. u2022 Interpret schematics, manufacturing aids, wiring lists and schedules and follow verbal and written instructions to assemble, re-work or re-assemble sub-assemblies and units. u2022 Perform routine and repetitive parts installation. u2022 Provide input in the creation or update of procedures. u2022 Assist in training of other individuals. u2022 Determine acceptance, rejection or rework requirements of assemblies or subassemblies. u2022 Responsible for data accuracy and the quality of work produced. u2022 Perform other related duties as assigned. u2022 Candidate should have experience reading blue prints and attending to detail. u2022 Individual should have the ability to work in a team-based environment. Experience: + High School diploma or equivalent + Two to three years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly + Previous work experience as a mechanical assembler preferred and on the job training to be provided to attain competency.
