Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator in New York, New York. This role is in person / onsite. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration: Type: Six-month contract, with opportunity for full-time offer Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm Pay: $23.00 to $26.00 an hour, based on experience Responsibilities of the Patient Care Coordinator: u00b7 Obtain accurate and updated patient information, such as name, address, insurance information u00b7 Perform insurance verification on the date of service u00b7 Obtain patient signatures for required documents u00b7 File, Fax and maintain medical records, u00b7 Confirms and schedule appointments u00b7 Answering incoming and outgoing telephone calls promptly and courteously u00b7 Check In and Check Out patients u00b7 Ability to maintain and work the front desk in-basket pool. u00b7 Performs certain follow-up services for patients in a prompt and courteous manner, such as scheduling specialist appointments u00b7 Work cohesively with fellow employees to achieve specific team goals u00b7 Comfortable working in high pace environment u00b7 Assure the continuity of care through scheduling and tracking systems u00b7 Provide effective communication to patient / family team members and other health care professionals as evidenced by documentation, case conferences, communication notes, and evaluations u00b7 Comply with administrative policies to ensure quality of care u00b7 Demonstrate precision and efficiency in scanning documents and monitoring the fax server, retrieving and / or scanning documents and assigning to the appropriate electronic chart u00b7 All employees are expected to keep abreast of current medical requirements relevant to their position, which includes maintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPAA and OSHA requirements u00b7 Crosstrain and assist in other locations if needed u00b7 Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications of the Patient Care Coordinator: u00b7 High School Graduate or GED u00b7 2+ years of healthcare or medical office experience u00b7 Clear, compassionate, and professional verbal communication u00b7 Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, copiers, fax machines, and phones. u00b7 Ability to interact with others, both in person and through phone, e-mail, and written correspondence.
