In this role, you will support the planning, design, and delivery of bridge-focused transportation projects-contributing to solutions that improve resilience, manage risk, and advance the future of our transportation networks.What You'll Do:- Independently complete engineering design, technical analysis, and preparation of specifications and reports for bridge projects- Develop computation methods, technical reports, and specifications under the guidance of senior staff or technical leadership- Identify and resolve technical discrepancies, applying standard procedures and best practices for safety and infrastructure resilience- Monitor project progress and performance, acting quickly to resolve operational issues and minimize delays in critical bridge infrastructure projects- Take responsibility for large portions of projects with oversight from senior staff or management, including field assignmentsWhat You Bring:- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related disciplines required- Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience required- DOT hydraulic modeling and bridge design experience required- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred- Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the hydraulic engineering, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, bridge and/or culvert design, bridge scour evaluations, and FEMA floodplain evaluation, as well as proven ability to practically apply it in a professional environment- Understanding of QA/QC procedures and regulatory standards- Proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (HEC-RAS, TR-20, SMS SRH2D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office- Experience with Open Channel required- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset- Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferredWhy You'll Love It Here:- Work alongside experienced bridge engineers and multidisciplinary teams on impactful transportation projects- Enjoy a flexible work environment that supports professional growth and collaboration- Contribute to bridge solutions that enhance safety, resilience, and long-term connectivity for the communities we serve- Work alongside experienced bridge engineers and multidisciplinary teams on impactful transportation projects- Enjoy a flexible work environment that supports professional growth and collaboration- Contribute to bridge solutions that enhance safety, resilience, and long-term connectivity for the communities we serveCurious about the impactful work our Bridge team is doing?
