POSITION SUMMARY: The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the facility is clean for its patients, staff and visitors. REPORTS TO: . Facilities Manager QUALIFICATIONS: u00b7 A high school diploma or GED u00b7 1-2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospital or inpatient facility DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: u00b7 Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, patient care units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner. u00b7 Wash windows, walls, floors, beds, furniture upon patient discharge. Applies clean linen on disinfected patient bed. u00b7 Report any furniture, fixtures, building, equipment repairs required to Housekeeping Supervisor. u00b7 Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure. u00b7 Use and maintain equipment properly u00b7 Report safety hazards as appropriate. u00b7 Transport trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
