Duties & ResponsibilitiesThis role is responsible for the management, training, coaching and development for assigned region of Corporate Trust Relationship Managers. This role will also serve as Lead Administrator for the largest/key complex accounts, volume and /or client relationship to ensure high quality fiduciary services.Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports and the regional teams under their responsibilityActively participate in developing and executing the strategic plan and accompanying annual objectives for Corporate TrustActively engage with the Corporate Trust Development Team and specifically involve the business development officers assigned to the regions for which they have responsibilityConduct performance discussions/next 90s with direct reports and recommend performance improvements as neededEnsures regional managers are operating profitably and following prescribed controls/procedures consistently across regionsEnsures each regional manager has the resources necessary to achieve Corporate Trust growth as well as safety/soundness targetsWork with regional managers/team leads to ensure effective talent acquisition and development is occurring on a ongoing basisResolve ALL administrative issues and provide support to all team membersWork with regional managers to ensure each team is operating with a continuous improvement mindset and are actively engaging the Strategic Projects and Training team within Corporate Trust to implement efficiencies and service enhancements on an ongoing basisOperate independently to service the largest clients and resolve the most complex issues, understanding when it is necessary to involve peers and/or manager for assistance and awarenessProvides direct day to day support for a limited number of existing institutional/corporate trust accounts including billing for administrative fees, recommending fee increases, facilitating bond closing, handling cash and investment transactions, monitoring cash activities, providing debt service calculations, executing payment generation and follow-upRecommend and submit new business for approval from the new business committee made up of the senior leadership team in Corporate TrustEnsure each region is pricing business based on account structure compared to existing business and market competitionDisseminates financial information to the EMMA system (as required)Ensure each region takes responsibility for accurate/timely setup of new accounts/ new issues on all systems, preparing accounts for compliance review and responding appropriately to compliance exceptionsReview legal documents to ensure operational mechanics are appropriateWork with corporate legal, compliance and outside legal counsel to negotiate document provisionsEnsure each region has effective succession planning in place, ensuring their teams are participating in ongoing cross-training to learn other Corporate Trust rolesOther duties as assignedKnowledge & Skills:MINIMUM:Demonstrates strong client relationship management skillsDemonstrates successful networking skills and the ability to establish a network of strategic contactsDemonstrates ability to provide positive client experience through a variety of methods including associate engagement, technology, workflows and processingDemonstrated strong strategic and critical thinking abilitiesDemonstrates ability to manage multiple projects and timelinesDemonstrates the ability to drive change through business planningDemonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to detailDemonstrates general knowledge of banking products and servicesDemonstrates the ability to be self-directedRequirements:MINIMUM:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience10 years relevant experiencePREFERRED:Master's DegreeCCTS Certified Corporate Trust SpecialistWork Environment:Typical office environment, some travel may be requiredSupervision/Management:Supervise a team of managers/team leads and associates including hiring, coaching and development Compensation Range: $150,940.00 - $321,830.00 _The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMBu2019s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
