About this Opportunity This position supports the collection, analysis, and interpretation of fish diet data to characterize trophic interactions and predatoru2013prey dynamics within marine ecosystems. The work contributes to the development of comprehensive food habits datasets and the application of these data to estimate predation impacts on commercially important species. Through integration of field sampling, laboratory analysis, and data management, this role helps provide the scientific foundation necessary for informed fisheries management decisions and improved understanding of ecosystem structure and function. Key Responsibilities Taxonomically identify stomach contents of marine fish and entry of stomach data via an online computer form. u2013 55% Participate in research cruises. u2013 10% Maintain records and quality control of food habits collections and laboratory analysis. u2013 10% Assist in report preparation of research results. u2013 5% Maintain and update prey specimen collection. u2013 5% Develop new keys and identification methods. u2013 5% Investigate new technologies for food habits research. - 5% Assist project leader with collection of literature relevant to fish physiology, collection of field samples. u2013 5% Required Qualifications To be considered for this opportunity your application must demonstrate you meet both the minimum qualifications and additional qualifications listed below.
