Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our Specimen Management team in Phoenix, AZ. Work Schedule: This is a per diem/PRN position, hours will be as needed with start and end times varying Job Responsibilities: u00b7 Act a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients. u00b7 Resolve internal & external customer requests via calls, instant messenger & email communications u00b7 Communicates with customers in respectful and professional manner. u00b7 Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions. u00b7 Provide customer education and information as needed. u00b7 Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies. u00b7 Prepare and triage specimens for analysis. u00b7 Accurately identify and label specimens. u00b7 Pack and ship specimens as necessary. u00b7 Prepare and store excess specimen samples. Minimum Qualification: u00b7 High School Diploma or GED equivalent Preferred Qualification: u00b7 Current or prior Labcorp experience u00b7 Associates degree u00b7 One year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience Additional Job Standards: u00b7 Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal u00b7 Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures u00b7 Comfortable handling biological specimens u00b7 Ability to accurately identify specimens u00b7 Experience working in a team environment u00b7 Strong data entry and organizational skills u00b7 High level of attention to detail u00b7 Proficient in MS Office u00b7 Ability to lift up to 40lbs. u00b7 Able to pass a standardized color blindness test _At Labcorp we have a passion in helping people live happy and healthy lives.
