DescriptionThe Store Associate plays a critical role in supporting the dailyoperations of The UPS Store, contributing to a high standard of customerservice and operational efficiency. This position is responsible forexecuting a wide range of retail and administrative functions, includingbut not limited to packing and shipping, printing services, mail andparcel management, and point-of-sale transactions. The role demands ahigh level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability toperform in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Deliver prompt, professional, and courteous customer service, ensuring a positive customer experience.- Accurately process shipping transactions using UPS and other carrier systems.- Prepare packages for shipment, including packing, labeling, and documentation in accordance with company and carrier guidelines.- Operate and maintain printing, copying, and finishing equipment for customer projects- Manage mailbox rentals, including mail and package receipt, distribution, and customer notifications.- Conduct sales transactions using the point-of-sale system, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and register balancing.- Maintain clean and orderly store appearance and restock merchandise and supplies as needed.- Comply with all operational procedures, safety regulations, and company standards.- Assist in training new team members as required.- Perform other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications and Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent required.- Prior retail, shipping/logistics, or customer service experience strongly preferred.- Competency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, email systems, POS systems).- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies and procedures.- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift packages up to 50 lbs, and perform routine store maintenance tasks.Working Conditions- Retail store environment with regular exposure to office equipment and shipping supplies.- Requires availability during store hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as pensation and Benefits- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.- Opportunities for performance-based raises and advancement.- Employee discounts on store services and products.Schedule:- Part-time opportunities available- Must be available to work weekends and during peak business hoursWhy Join Us?- Supportive team environment- Paid training and growth opportunities- Employee discounts on products and services- Be part of a well-known, trusted brandSalary$15 - $17 per hour
