This critical role is ideal for a highly skilled investigator with strong analytical abilities, effective communication skills, and demonstrated expertise in case development. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead complex investigations into fraudulent overpayment activities, applying advanced knowledge of criminal and administrative procedures. - Analyze and interpret detailed documentation to assess evidentiary value and prosecutorial merit. - Develop comprehensive case files, including timelines, evidence logs, and supporting legal documentation. - Conduct formal interviews, issue subpoenas, and prepare affidavits to support criminal charges. - Collaborate closely with prosecutors and legal teams to prepare cases for review and charging decisions. - Manage a high-volume caseload while adhering to strict investigative timelines and organizational priorities. - Coordinate with internal departments, tax auditors, call center staff, and federal, state, and local law enforcement partners. - Maintain and follow established safety protocols during both office and field investigations. - Complete required annual continuing education, including firearms qualification, to maintain law enforcement certification. r **Equal Employment Opportunity** The State of Kansas is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
