As a Receptionist, you willplay a crucial role on our clinical team by serving as the first pointof contact for patients arriving at or calling the clinic, registeringpatients and scheduling appointments in a customer service-orientedenvironment. We have anamazing staff that promotes teamwork, supports each other, and engagesin how the clinic operates.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Greets patients in a prompt and courteous manner, provides support and guidance as needed, and maintains a positive customer service environment```{=html}```- Obtains completed patient forms and signed acknowledgement of receiving copies of office policies and legally required documents```{=html}```- Updates patient demographic and payment-related information- Performs insurance benefit verification- Collects monies due for patient visits (e.g., co-pay, deductible, co-insurance, self-pay) and refers to the Billing department when appropriate- Scans patient registration documents and insurance cards into patients electronic health record- Checks patients in and out for appointments- Answers telephone, schedules appointments, directs/transfers calls to appropriate departments- Performs daily balancing of payment batch- Sort and distribute faxes and other patient correspondence- Monitors provider schedules and organizes patient flow- Maintains clean, orderly reception area and lobby- Assists with scanning and indexing of documents into the EMR```{=html}```- Participates in clinic process improvement activities and team meetings to ensure efficient operations```{=html}```- Reliable attendance and punctuality- Other duties as assigned
