ResponsibilitiesJob Summary: As a CM Bakery Manager, responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Bakery department, and get to know our Customers, and treat them to excellent service. Supervises a team of Partners.Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:• ManagementMajority of the time spent using independent judgment in making employment-related and business decisions, or effectively recommend such decisions including but not limited to product and department related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding or otherwise engaging in resolving Partner-related mattersResponsible for interviews, performance reviews and Partner feedback, and training and developing Partners as well as writing department schedulesProvides superior customer service and develops and leads a team to provide customer service at the highest level in all areas• SalesResponsible for selling products for promotional and special events throughout the storeAccountable for merchandising department to maximize sales, ensuring appropriate abundance and effective presentation through signage and art display and effective promotion of services and productsEnsures product delivered to customers is of optimum quality and presentation and in-stock conditions are maintainedMaintains multiple vendor relationshipsWorks with other department managers to effectively deliver resultsMaintains a high degree of product knowledgeEnsures that all government and company regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration and sanitation are metWorks to achieve set department budget that contributes to the stores long range goalsMonitors and manages product assortment, shrink, labor, and wrap expenses to meet budget goalsEnsures appropriate planning to meet weekly and long-term budget goalsConducts weekly forecasting and production planning for product assortmentOversees product ordering and inventory controlsGenerate new sales and maintain current client relationshipThe responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position. Employees may be required to perform other job-related tasks as requested by their supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodations.Qualifications & Key Requirements:Work Experience:Scratch Production experience is preferredProven experience in Bakery Operations managementExperience managing teams of at least bakers and experience training new bakers to achieve proficiencyKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Leads team of Bakery PartnersLove of all things Bakery, a passion for food and a passion for sellingProficiency on computer systemsProven interpersonal and communication skills including ability to develop and deliver recommendationsAbility to handle stressful situationsAnalytical skillsAbility to plan, organize and prioritizeProven ability to develop teams including delegating tasksBasic financial acumen and knowledge of financial terms like Sales/GP% and their application to department goalsMust be able to work flexible shiftsPhysical Demands & Working Conditions:Function in a fast-paced, retail environment, in detailed and precise tasksWork with Customers, staying attentive to their needsOccasionally reaches at overhead, reaches at shoulder, reaches at knee, reaches at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, stair climb, pivot, twist, arm push/pull, pinch, utilize fine motor skillsFrequently stand, walkConstantly reaches at waist, graspMust be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 50 lbsMust be able to demonstrate the ability to manage in excess of 70 lbs.
