Requisition ID: 181954 Position Summary Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment Experience Level Skilled Primary Responsibilities and Duties u2022 Work independently or with industry specialists to trouble shoot/diagnose problems with production machinery. u2022 Set-up, run, troubleshoot, and tear down production machinery. u2022 Keep designated machinery in running condition. u2022 Minimize down time through effective PM procedures and management. u2022 Troubleshoot machinery errors during production times. u2022 Communicate issues with machines to production management when necessary. u2022 Work with Machine Operators to ensure machines are running safely and properly. u2022 Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity. u2022 Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed. Qualifications u2022 May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. u2022 Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position. u2022 Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision. u2022 Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools Requirements u2022 The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site, so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl u2022 Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions u2022 Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required u2022 May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds u2022 Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces u2022 Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment u2022 May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial site u2022 Must have required tools u2022 May require DL u2022 Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required u2022 Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
