Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Work requires the ability to stand for the majority of workday.Provide a safe secure environment for students, staff and guests inside the school.Establish and maintain good rapport with parents, students, staff and community members.Prior School experience preferred.Ensure safety and efficient reporting:Monitor hallways, stairwells, toilet facilities, outside facilities, and other public and unsupervised places of the school to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff and the security of the facility.Assist with fire drills, crises and other emergency building evacuations and situations.Assist administrators and staff in crisis and emergency situations.Ensure a smooth traffic flow of students through the hallways, assisting students with on-time arrival to class and to assigned locations.Supervise and direct student movement during arrival and dismissal.Update security records, logs, and reports.Ensure all doors and gates are locked and that all alarms are engaged at designated times.Assist staff and emergency personnel in handling emergencies and deescalating disruptive situations that may arise on campus.Assist in daily operational duties as needed.PREFERRED:School security experience a PlusCPR CertificationREQUIRMENTS:Must be at least 18 years of ageValid NYS Security Guard License3+ years of experience in Security IndustryMust be able to stand for long periods of timeMust have exceptional Customer Service SkillsMust be able to verbally de-escalate situationsReliable transportationMust be able to understand the English language and communicate it effectively in both the verbal and written form EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disability Doyle Security Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce.Doyle Security Services, Inc. is committed to providing exceptional services and solutions to our clients and need your extraordinary work ethic to do so!
