PLANT ELECTRICAL ENGINEER Description Seeking a Plant Electrical Engineer to support the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems across their facility infrastructure. This role will be a key technical resource within the Facilities & Plant Engineering group and is open due to an anticipated retirement. This position focuses on facility and infrastructure electrical systems, including ongoing substation projects, rather than direct manufacturing process engineering. Candidates from A&E or consulting backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Key responsibilities include: -Estimating, Planning, designing, and implementing the construction and maintenance of electrical infrastructure projects -Supporting plant infrastructure and facility process equipment: boilers, compressors, chillers, HVAC systems, electrical distribution systems (15kV, 480V, 120V), standby generator and UPS systems, etc.) -Plan and coordinate with in house tradesman & supervisors, as well as outside contractors & service technicians -Provide and implement designs for electrical infrastructure equipment and systems -Supporting and improving plant-wide electrical distribution and utility systems -Troubleshooting and resolving electrical infrastructure issues -Managing both small and large capital projects from concept through completion -Collaborating with internal trades, supervisors, and external contractors -Supporting systems including HVAC power, generators, UPS, fiber & Ethernet, lighting, security, and life safety systems -Participating in cross-functional engineering and facilities teams Qualifications: -Bacheloru2019s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology -Minimum 10 years of plant engineering, facility engineering, or electrical engineering experience supporting facility or infrastructure systems -Experience designing, reviewing, and/or implementing electrical infrastructure upgrades -Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously -Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications Skills Electrical, Electrical engineering, Design, Electrical design, electrical drawings, power distribution, medium voltage, high voltage, substation engineering, nfpa, maximo Top Skills Details Electrical,Electrical engineering,Design,Electrical design,electrical drawings Additional Skills & Qualifications Nice to Have: -Professional Engineer (PE) license or interest in pursuing -Experience supporting capital projects (design through install) -AutoCAD experience - Background in engineering consulting or A&E firms -Familiarity with CMMS or ERP systems (ex: Maximo, SAP) -Previous project management experience Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redford, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.10 - $67.31/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
